Follow these guidelines when submitting materials to the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS).

Multiple Authors

Last Name, First Initial. Title written in sentence case. Abbreviated Journal Title. Publication Date Year Month Day;Volume(Issue):Pages.

Example: Halpern SD, Ubel PA, Caplan AL. Solid-organ transplantation in HIV-infected patients. N Engl J Med. 2002 Jul 25;347(4):284-7. 

No Author Given

Title written in sentence case. Abbreviated Journal Title. Year Month Day;Volume(Issue):Pages.

Example: 21st century heart solution may have a sting in the tail. BMJ. 2002;325(7357):184.

Books and Other Monographs

Personal Author(s)

Last Name, First Initial. Title in sentence case. Edition. Publication Location: Publisher; Publication Year.

Example: Murray PR, Rosenthal KS, Kobayashi GS, Pfaller MA. Medical microbiology. 4th ed. St. Louis: Mosby; 2002.

Editors, Compilers as Author

Last Name, First Initial, editor(s). Title in sentence case. Edition. Publication Location: Publisher; Publication Year.
