Taking Vocational or Personality Tests

It's very easy to find free tests on the internet. But many of them are not real or not legitimate.

Lots of websites will offer you a test for personality, or to determine whether you have a particular disorder, or what job you would be best suited for.

You should view any personality, mental disorder, or job suitability test you find on the internet with healthy skepticism. Some are good, but many are not. Remember that anyone can create a website, and unless the author tells you about their training or education, you have only their word that they know what they're doing.

You should never consider a test you find on the internet to be proof that you or someone else has a mental disorder or condition. Only a trained mental health professional can make such a diagnosis.
