Advances in Social Work
"...Critical Social Work offers the opportunity for constructive dialogue in the interest of achieving social justice. We recognize the historical nature of both human capability and social justice. With such recognition, we do not attempt a definitive definition of either. In part the goal of Critical Social Work is to assist us collectively in recognizing the current potentials for social justice as well as the future possibilities. Further, we recognize that a contemporary definition of social justice must deal with the issues of legal, moral, and economic obligation of both the individual and the collective. We propose that through dialogue there exists the possibility of refining our ideas about the individual and community, clarifying the relationship between interpersonal relations and institutional structures, and identifying actions that promote both individual and community well-being. To this end Critical Social Work strives, for this is surely critical social work, that is, activity directed towards establishing essential judgments in constructing a sustaining context for conviviality."

Intersectionalities
"Intersectionalities: A Global Journal of Social Work Analysis, Research, Polity, and Practice aims to underscore issues relating to oppression, privilege and resistance in society and social work. Of critical consideration are the ways in which intersections of age, disability, class, poverty, gender and sexual identity, madness, spirituality, geographical (dis)location, rurality, colonialism/imperialism, indigeneity, racialization, ethnicity, citizenship and the environment are enmeshed in processes of social justice and injustice. The journal aims to highlight these considerations within the following themes."

Journal of Social Inclusion
"The Journal of Social Inclusion (JoSI) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that will contribute to current knowledge and understanding of the social processes that marginalise individuals, families and communities. The journal will be published bi-annually under the guidance of an International Editorial Advisory Board. The Journal of Social Inclusion (JoSI) is an initiative of the School of Human Services and Social Work, Griffith University."

Social Work & Society
"It is anything but easy to figure out the current global constellation by speaking of ‘multiple crises’ or ‘polycrisis’. Not only because of its complexity, but also because we experience the current situation as unprecedented, we tend to overlook that crises obviously are part of modern society in general. Nevertheless, the global dimension and the complex mélange of the crisis against climate change, the economic and financial crises, the Covid-19 pandemic, but also the questioning of democratic orders, that we are witnessing today, seem exceptional. We are therefore faced in the 21^st century with the challenge of simultaneously perceiving the peculiarity of the current crises and the historical continuity that is inscribed in them."
